WHAT'S MADE IN THE CAVE?
Vibrant, ripe nose of honeydew melon, grapefruit and citrus give way to secondary aromas of lime, gardenia and lemon. The palate has bright, complex flavors of green apple and key lime. The long focused finish of tropical citrus and lime shines through in this great vintage. Pale straw in color.
Our 2018 chardonnay starts in the glass with a pale straw hue, providing aromas of subtle vanilla and toasted hazelnut. The wine flows into bright tropical flavors of banana and mango. A persistent acidity throughout keeps you wanting more. This vintage of Alias Chardonnay pairs wonderfully with creamy pasta dishes topped with seafood or your favorite roast chicken.
The 2018 Alias Pinot Noir continues to impress and overdeliver, per usual. This wine exhibits a freshness of red fruit in the form of Bing cherries, along with a touch of smoked earth and dark chocolate. Hints of tea leaf and a lively minerality keep this wine complex enough to keep even your most wine-geekiest of friends intrigued. Pair this with soft cheeses and charcuterie, or enjoy on its own.
Deep garnet in color, this decadent merlot opens with notes of rasberry, violet, and pepper on the nose. Layered underneath are rich notes of earth and spice with a hint of mulberry. The berry notes continue onto the palate, where they are met with well-balance flavors of smoke and cedar. Enjoy this wine with your favorite hard cheese, or on its own.
The 2018 Alias Cabernet is as fearless as its predecessors. Ripe black fruits greet you up front, harking to cab’s ubiquitous currant and blackberry flavors. With just the right amount of tobacco leaf and baking spices, this wine will not only keep you drinking, but thinking as well. Pair this with any meats you might be pulling off the grill, or keep it close at hand the next time you’re ordering your favorite local pizza. We won’t be mad if you drink this by itself either.

After years spent toiling away in the bowels of the wine industrial complex, we escaped in 2007 with our love of wine still intact. We got to see ‘how the sausage was made’ at the giant corporations - in the cellars, in the streets, and in the boardrooms. Our goal has been to make honest, affordable wines without the industrial trickery needed to make millions of cases. Wine crafted from grape to glass, true to varietal character and expressive of California’s bold style. A cure for industrial wines…and just in case the corporate powers came after us we took on an ALIAS.
